Dear Friends,

In hardship and tough times, there is a victory promised. Hence, we are called to 'look out' for His way out that our joy will be made complete. We praise the Lord, even though we may not have reached the end of tunnel, we are striving and managing forward in unity to 'look out' for His way out that our joy will be made complete and His glory will be manifested. We appreciate your prayer.

Many blessings,
David.

Dear Friends,

Pepper Enterprise: In the gospel of Luke, it was recorded for us that there were existing political, financial and social problems. Oppression, both physical and spiritual, was to full extend. People were in poverty thus being imprisonment politically, economically and socially. There was also a need for God to give recovery of sight for the blind. Hence, Jesus was commissioned to preach good news, to proclaim the year of the Lord¡¦s favor(Luke 4:18-5:11).

We praise the Lord for commissioning Crossroads to empower people like Bora and Karano to do the same - Making fishers of men. The discipleship journey ahead is challenging, and sometimes overwhelming. Yesterday, a rich business approached us to help him out in his plantation. We certainly have the skill(by the grace of God), but how do we be a blessing to them can be tricky. We pray for wisdom and discernment in poverty elevation, in preaching the gospel, and more so, to make Christ Centered Disciples in Cambodia as we rebuild and restore this broken nation.

Centered Disciples in Cambodia as we rebuild and restore this broken nation. Thouen and Pet are young people from Kuy villages we have reached out. They have been employed to work at our pepper farm, almost 300 km from their village. We pray for their salvation. Interestingly, owners of adjacent land have questioned us on where did we get our employees/laborers. They commented that our employees/laborers are diligent and hardworking. We were encouraged to receive such comment as we seek to be light and salt of the area. Please pray that His glory consistently and continuously be revealed to overpower the evil power that has been manipulating people there.

At Crossroads, new students(Pichet, Chek, Rada, Sombat, Nora, Srey Nec & Pharak) are learning foundational study. Like previous new intake, we are walking them through OT to NT thus bringing to their attention on some life issues according to the truth. Please pray for wisdom in applying the word of God to enlighten them on their real identity in Christ. Please also pray that His love will penetrate thus to cause healing and restoration of these people as His redemption work in them commenced. May the eyes of their heart be opened and may the Holy Spirit work in them to see the kingdom of God.

Some Prayer Points:-

- Please pray for church planting of 5 House Churches by end year 2010[20 in year 2012];
- Please pray for relationship issues at Xroads. May the trials help to build faith, and teach one to focus on the 'right things' instead of division;
- Please pray for 'Project management' workshop in mid July 2010;
- Please pray for new 'Timothy' group ;
- Please pray for spiritual growth of the men of peace in Snaur and Sukrun;
- Please pray for search of Men of Peace in 2 other new villages(Jeho'knah & T'bet) in August.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.
And God is faithful;
He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
I Cor. 10:13.

Many blessings,
David.

Dear Friends,

Leadership Development Seminar: The Crossroads is conducting a 8 weeks Leadership Development Seminar. 20 non-resident students have committed to 8 weeks which the Crossroads will focus on relationship building and evangelism. Please pray for the flowing:-
a. Removal of Anti-Christian sentiment amongst the non-believer
b. Transformation of heart and mind through various leadership issues;
c. Wisdom in relationship building, in loving our brothers as Jesus also loved and concerned about the sheep outside the pen;
d. Salvation of these students.

The girls at Xroads are not behindļ:). Last week, they organized a tea-party to facilitate relationship building with one another. We praise the Lord for the attendance and trust that Moonjung and the leaders will continue to build these girls that they will grow in maturity in Christ. Please pray that the activities they 've organized will enable girls to be deeply rooted in Christ. May the Lord also bless the endeavor of student leaders who have learned and demonstrated servanthood of Christ through this.

God, who did not spare His only begotten Son on the Cross, did not also spare us from pain and suffering(A testimony):

The Kuy ministry has been entrusted to us since October 2008. Since then, uncountable times of visits have been made for the purpose of exploration, evangelization, discipleship, church planting, etc. Each trip is a minimal 6-7 hours one way. The longest was 14 hours on a motorbike one way!!! We praise the Lord for His gracious opportunity to serve with Him, more in the capacity of being an instrument used by Him. We also thank the teams who have been sacrificial in using their own motorbikes for traveling purpose. But I am thankful most is their living sacrifice ¡V their lives.

Though the church has been contributing to the gas and sometimes motorbike repair, I cannot conquer the fact and fear that accident on the road can happen in a twinkling of an eye. What then will happen to the ministry? Is this the will of God? Each time I was on the bike, the fear traumatized me. Each time, I would secretly swear that that would be the last time we send out teams on motorbike. Finally, after one of the last trip, I decided to write for fund-raising to purchase a truck for traveling use. I remember sending out the email to brother X on Monday evening, and on Thursday, a pledge was made unexpectedly for USD35,000.00. The Lord is good?

We rejoiced but unfortunately the money didn't come in time thus delayed the purchase. At the same time, there was an urgency to make another trip to the Kuy. Unexpectedly, the clean accident free record was broken. I crashed the bike and we flew 2-3 meters forward. I bruised my left arm, chest and right knee. That¡¦s nothing. The pillion rider bruised her face, needing 4 stitches. What is pain and suffering? Why did God allow it despite all the already ongoing suffering for Him?

But as we pondered on the Cross, especially on what he is doing, we could witness His presence with us throughout our journey. We certainly witnessed His tears and pain for us as we suffered, and above all, we have witnessed His glory that has been demonstrated through so many good things that have arisen. We praise the Lord for heart and mind transformation at the Crossroads, the dedication for church planting despite being a mere college student, the courage to go against empty human tradition and philosophy. I witnessed a revival of a new generation rising up to take the place with selfless faith and also a genuine willingness to be sacrificial for kingdom's causes. It(the pain and suffering) is worth it. God is good indeed, and He is faithful and truly, His love endures forever.

Many blessings,
David Ooi.
